Parking lot striping is what tells drivers where to go on your property. We paint new layouts on fresh pavement and bring faded lots back with a full restripe. Stalls, arrows, stop bars, crosswalks and fire lanes all go down in traffic paint. Georgia Asphalt Pros works out of Cartersville across Northwest Georgia and the north side of metro Atlanta.
A worn lot loses stalls before anyone notices. The lines are gone, cars park crooked and the fire lane stops reading as a fire lane. We measure the lot, lay out the stalls and paint the lines you need. When we handle the parking lot paving too, the striping goes on once the new asphalt is ready.

On a new lot the paint is the last step. Line striping starts after the hot mix asphalt paving is finished and the surface is ready. We work from the stall count and the layout you want. If an architect or engineer drew the lot, we paint to that drawing.
Local rules decide stall sizes and fire lanes. Your city or county zoning office sets the stall and drive aisle sizes. The fire marshal sets the fire lane markings. Ask both before the layout is fixed, because changing painted lines later means extra work.
We use traffic paint on every striping job. Thermoplastic markings and post mounted signs are separate trades, so plan for someone else to handle those. Paint goes back on cleanly, so a faded lot gets repainted rather than torn up.
Restriping the lot pulls the accessible spaces in with it. ADA.gov states that a business restriping parking spaces must provide accessible spaces under the 2010 ADA Standards. Those Standards set the count off the size of the lot. A lot with 1 to 25 spaces needs 1 accessible space.
A lot with 26 to 50 spaces needs 2, and 51 to 75 needs 3. At 76 to 100 it is 4, and at 101 to 150 it is 5. One in every six accessible spaces has to be van accessible, and every lot needs at least one. The Standards also hold the slope in the space and the aisle to no steeper than 1:48.
A car accessible space is 96 inches wide at a minimum, with an access aisle of 60 inches beside it. A van space is 132 inches wide with a 60 inch aisle, or 96 inches with a 96 inch aisle. The aisle runs the full length of the space and gets hatched so drivers stay out of it. We mark those spaces and aisles to the 2010 ADA Standards' dimensions in traffic paint.
Lines fade from sun, rain and tires. A busy lot in the Georgia heat fades faster than a quiet one. Most owners repaint when the stalls start to read faint from a car window. Two things usually set the clock: how much traffic crosses the lines and how much sun the lot takes.
A fresh surface is the other common trigger. After sealcoating the old lines are gone, so the lot gets restriped as part of that work. A new overlay does the same thing. Fresh sealer and fresh asphalt both have to set before paint goes on.
The Pavement Coatings Technology Council says sealer dry to the touch takes foot traffic but not vehicles. Cars go back on once curing is well underway. Paint wants that same dry, cured surface, and we plan the striping day with you around your business hours.

We come to the property, look at the site and measure it. Then you get an estimate with the square footage, the base work and the asphalt thickness.
We shape the site so water runs off it. Stone base goes down and gets compacted in layers, or failed pavement comes out first.
Hot mix asphalt goes down with our paver and gets rolled while it is hot. Edges are cut clean and tie-ins are kept flush.
We tell you how long to stay off the new pavement and how to look after it. Where a lot calls for it, we schedule the striping or the sealcoat.

Sealcoating puts a protective coat over asphalt that is still sound. We clean the pavement, fill the cracks, treat oil spots and spray the sealer on driveways and parking lots.

We repair potholes, failed patches, washed out edges and cracks in asphalt driveways, private roads and parking lots. The broken asphalt comes out, the base under it is rebuilt, then hot mix goes in and gets rolled.
Learn MoreThe site gets graded for drainage, then stone base goes down and is compacted in layers. Hot mix asphalt only goes on top of work that is already solid.
We run our own paver, rollers, dump trucks and a track loader. The asphalt gets laid and rolled while it is hot.
Driveways, parking lots, farm lanes and private roads all get paved the same way. We work for homeowners, businesses, churches, HOAs and private road owners.
